Dorset digital marketing agency Intergage and its staff donned wet weather gear and got on their bikes last month to help raise funds for a charity close to their hearts.
The foul weather failed to dampen the spirits of the OnYerBikes2 event which took place on Saturday 16th July, when 61 cyclists took to their 60 cycles; one being a tandem.
It saw them to race across the Dorset countryside to raise funds for the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (JTSMA), which is a national UK charity providing a range of priceless support to families and health professionals. The Jennifer Trust also invests in promoting and supporting research into Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
When Harry Tansey’s daughter was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Harry and his brother Paul, both Co-Founders of Intergage, developed a personal and professional relationship with The Jennifer Trust, which is as strong today as it was 10 years ago.
Harry Tansey said, “We can't thank everyone involved enough. There was over £3,200 pledged on the day, with more still to come.
“I'm hopeful that once all is accounted for, we will have raised around £3,500 for the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy and all the efforts and sponsorship are deeply appreciated by our family and will help make a real difference to many more families affected by the condition now and in the future.”
The event commenced at The Charlton Inn, in rural Charlton Marshall in Dorset and marked the 10th anniversary of the original bike ride for the JTSMA
